Again, I haven’t written for a while. Last time, I wrote about the two big issues in the world, COVID-19 and protests against racism. Protests have still been ongoing and the good news is that systemic racism has being identified in many important circles. This may make a big difference in mindsets and hopes are that changes for the better will come.
With COVID-19, well, that is also still ongoing, as we all know. That being said, I’m sure looking forward to returning to a semblance of normal, again. Whatever and whenever that will be. I don’t think though that this will be for a while or happen anytime soon. Perhaps when we get a vaccine, things will return to something like the way we were.
With art, I’m seeing many lovely, interesting and statement works of art being produced, lately. These are so inspiring to see, even if I only see it now on my digital devices. For myself, I have had some other things to attend to, but getting back to my visual artwork is foremost in my mind. Also, what I’ve been up to is a lot of paperwork and lots of writing. That’s okay, I like writing, too.
Anyway, my mind has begun to shift back to fine art creating, colors and compositions, again. For now, with the weather getting much better, I’m planning some plein air painting soon. In addition, I want to put a piece together for a parting gift to a healer that I know. This I will keep under my hat for now, until I do some more artistic research. However, plans are in the works for that and to start another waterscape.
I’ll sign off now. Stay safe. Keep creative.
Thanks to all the front-line workers!
